1) My official summer vacation arrived today: a new wicker sofa for the back porch, long the most neglected part of Maison Robaire. With a) retirement, b) the coronavirus curtailing almost all travel, and c) approaching next month the 17th anniversary of moving here, it made sense to upgrade the space. This is mighty comfy!
1a) I had always wanted the beautiful white wicker sofa and armchair from Mother and Daddy’s house, but this new one is long enough for me to stretch out full length - for a NAP!
2) Last weekend I finally ordered new cabinets and counters for my new kitchen, my dream vision of Howard Johnson’s at Versailles. And they will arrve in August, whether I have a contractor or not . . .
3) Floor samples arrived yesterday from ye Hyrvy Myrya, which look like they will do.
