1) In case you missed it, I was quoted in a Boston Globe article this week about how climate change is disrupting tourism.
1a) An unexpected outcome was email messages from an old volunteer from ye Instytytte (someone who had been particularly kind to me when Mother died) and an old volunteer from ye Ballyt who I still remember with pleasure. And it was lovely to reconnect with both of them!
1a.1) And those contacts have richer meaning in that it was 20 years ago this month that I boomeranged back to ye Instytytte from ye Ballyt.
1b) Travel suggestions for 2024 and 2025 welcome.
2) In this morning’s devotional, Proverbs 29:22 stood out: “An angry man stirs up strife, and a furious man abounds in transgressions.”
3) October is filling up — meetings, doctor’s appointments, museum exhibitions — and I couldn’t be more pleased. As much as August is my favorite month, I love the autumn, too.
