1) Finalmente, the installation of new ceiling fixtures is now complete. The stained glass fixtures in the parlor and dining room look just as I imagined them, and the unexpected need to paint the ceiling can be put off until later. It is such a relief to have this done, and the boxes those fixtures came in tossed out.

2) The new toner cartridges arrived, too, and I installed them. And the computer recognizes that a document is being printed, but nothing prints. Ho hum. I am going to have to send out my cards without my Christmas letter, which is tedious.
2a) The other odd techy thing: for the second Wednesday in a row, almost the entire Etiquetteer email list has been rejected and bounced back to me with my usual column notification. Curious . . .
3) Of greater concern, the number of people I know — mostly internet friends, but also one or two in real life — who are testing positive or coming down with full-blown COVID. Please everyone, be safe.
