1) Yes, I’m planning to watch the Democratic candidates debate again tonight. I was thinking about what film to put on in the kitchen (for audio/visual wallpaper). Rather than turn to a political thriller like Advise and Consent or Seven Days in May, I was guided to Zefferelli’s famous (and too-little remembered) Brother Sun, Sister Moon.
2) And what an important reminder it is that Anger, that Outrage, cannot be the only arrow in one’s quiver. Patience, Calm, Perseverance, Humor - how few Angry People appreciate this last! - have justly important places
3) If I had the answer, I wouldn’t have to ask the question, but can’t we calmly and beautifully go about overthrowing the ugliness and Evil made manifest in this world, at a frightening rate, every day? Why is Anger the only tool so many use?
