1) Technically my stacking bracket, so long awaited, is arriving before 1 PM from ye Byste Byyye, but I’ll believe it after it’s in the kitchen and I’ve tipped the delivery driver. Then I can schedule the return of the contractor to install the washer/dryer and the carbon filter for the recirculating range hood . . . and my kitchen renovation will be complete! Finalmente!
1a) Well . . . except for a few things that I’m responsible for, like actually, finishing filling the cabinets and drawers, hanging the Fiestaware plates, and other “deft and tasteful suggestions.”
2) On the cooking front, earlier this week I made my first attempt at eggs cocotte, or shirred eggs, which ended up a bit of a mixed bag. It was the first time I’d ever used the tiny orange ramekin I bought in Paris for cooking and not just to be pretty and orange! Long story short, next time I won’t add raw veggies straight from the fridge. But there will be a next time.
3) The kitchen’s nearly nearly finished, a Biden presidency is assured in January, but I am still feeling unsettled. Is it the continuing coronavirus crisis, or something else?
