1) Yesterday evening, during a brief pummeling of wind and rain, more very large tree limbs came down and are suspended above ground by power lines - just like last spring. This morning’s photos tell it all.
1a) Was it a derecho? That seems to be the fashionable word everyone’s using suddenly. It might have been.
2) My sluggish experience with 911 resulted in the fire department coming by, taping off our parking spaces, and leaving. An upstairs neighbor had better results with the power company, who should be out later today to get ‘em down. Last spring it took 18 hours for them to arrive.
3) I really have had quite enough of 2020, but at this point I don’t have confidence that 2021 will be any better.
