Today begins my favorite month!
1) Using humor to deflect crankiness, I quoted Robert Lawson's Country Colic: A Weeder's Digest to one of my volunteers today: "Estimate: a form of light fiction consisting of four parts, each increasing by 50%.. . ." The humor was appreciated, but it didn't end up assuaging the situation.
2) Up early and almost bright to breakfast at home and pay the biills.
3) Bostonians are, once again, thrown into chaos by another massive road project. You'd think when tneBig Dig was over that would be that! This time is the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge, which is a) right over the Turnpike, and b) an unavoidable intersection on my commute. To my relief, MBTA buses are allowed through, and my commute time was not noticeably impacted. Here's hoping that sticks!
